For schools

Interview practice for your students' first job.

DryRun gives your students a face-to-face video interview for a real entry-level job. They sit across from an interviewer they can see and talk to — one who listens, follows up, and coaches them honestly afterwards. Practising against a real face is exactly what a nervous first-timer needs before the real thing.

Events can get busy fast. Tell me how you'd keep your cool if the queue suddenly doubled.
You
I'd focus on one person at a time, stay polite, and let them know I'm on it — I did the same at our school open day.

They pick a job. It interviews them. Then they do it again, better.

01

Choose a role

From a library of real entry-level jobs. No CV or job posting needed.

02

Do the interview

Face to face on video, around fifteen minutes. They see and talk to the interviewer, who listens, responds, and follows up on thin answers the way a real one would.

03

Get coached

Specific, honest feedback on what they actually said. What worked, what to sharpen. No score out of ten.

04

Practise and improve

Every interview comes with three full attempts, each drawing a fresh set of questions. Students learn, then improve, then polish. Never one and done.

You said you like being around people — where have you done that already?
You
I helped run the school café last year, serving at the counter every lunchtime.
The role library

Real jobs your students would actually apply for.

Each role is a complete interview, written for that job. The questions a real manager would ask, at the level a first-time applicant would face.

Interview training and experience that gives them an upper hand.

DryRun won't tell them the questions they'll be asked. What it gives them is a realistic interview experience. They've sat across from an interviewer, spoken their answers out loud, been pushed on the vague ones, heard what landed and what didn't, and done it enough times that the room stops being frightening. That's what changes how a first interview goes.

A student ready for their real interview
Safeguarding & privacy

Built for students, with the questions schools ask in mind.

Age-appropriate by design

Interviews and interviewer conduct are written for the entry-level jobs students actually apply for: professional, encouraging, never inappropriate.

Students are never on camera

The interviewer appears on video so the practice feels face to face, but the student is never filmed. No webcam is needed or used — they simply speak into their microphone.

What data is collected

A student's spoken answers are used to run the interview and generate their coaching, then handled per our retention policy.

Practice, not assessment

Interviews produce coaching for the student, with no scores, no rankings, no pass or fail. Nothing about a student is graded or compared.

GDPR position

DryRun is operated in line with GDPR, with a data processing agreement available for schools.
